Increasing the Social Integration of Syrian Refugees in Turkey through Vocational Education and Training

The increase in migration movements on a global scale since the 2000s has increased importance of countries’ integration policies. Due to flexible solutions it offers, vocational education and training (VET) been useful tool ensure adaptation immigrants many countries. Turkey currently hosts largest amount Syrian refugees with population around 3.9 million. Besides housing health supports, doing its best their schooling ratio light new legislation laws. In this study, we present evaluate VET projects carried out by Ministry National Education (MoNE) for refugees, considering practices recommendations international organizations. results show that MoNE correspond criteria informing about VET, preparing them educational process, facilitating participation, supporting throughout experiences.
